CAN I SLEEP IN MY TAN?We recommend if at all possible to avoid this. Sometimes when we're sleeping our body sweats and the tan will run, to avoid any sweat marks or press marks don't sleep in it. If you do sleep in it, it is at your own risk.
-
HOW LONG WILL MY SPRAY TAN LAST?Great question! We know once you get bronzed up with The Tan Studio you'll want to stay that way forever; sadly that will not happen. Your tan will typically last up to 7 days, depending on your skin cycle, how often you are exercising, swimming and showering. Remember to only pat dry after showering. Do not rub! We also recommend that you wash using only natural products and avoid using harsh soaps or moisturisers. We recommend using plain old coconut oil to wash and moisturise with.
-
PREP BEFORE MY TAN?Yes please! Make sure you exfoliate the day or evening before your tan. Use sugar or salt scrubs, exfoliating mitts or dry scrubs - you name it. This will get rid of any excess dead skin cells and prolong your tan. Please avoid wearing any deodorant, moisturiser or perfumes on your skin before your appointment as these could affect your spray tan results. Fresh skin please! Shave / Wax? Whatever you do, once again do it 24 hours prior.
-
IS MY SPRAY TAN SUN SAFE?No! Please apply sunscreen if you plan on basking in the sun. We recommend a sunscreen product for delicate skin types so it doesn't affect your spray tan, but we hope that you won't be soaking any harsh UV rays up - that's why you're getting a spray tan. Remember tan studio babes - skin safety comes first!
-
WILL MY TAN RUB OFF ON MY SHEETS/CLOTHES?We recommend that dark, loose fitting clothing be worn whilst your tan is developing. Before you shower it may rub off on your clothes or sheets. After you shower it should not rub off unless you are wearing super tight clothing, however our product is water soluble so even if it does rub off a little on to clothing (bra’s or towels), it should come out in the wash. However beware that it may stain delicate materials such as silk, leather or fine materials.
-
WHAT'S IN THE SOLUTION THAT MAKES ME TURN IN TO A BRONZED GOD/GODDESS?DHA - Dihydroxyacetone is a plant based additive typically derived from sugar beets or sugar cane! It reacts with the amino acids in the outer layers of your skin (dead skin cells). DHA has been used in beauty products for over 40 years and has been approved by the FDA for safe use in tanning products. DHA is non carcinogenic and has never been directly linked or proven to harm your body. If you’re unsure if a tan is right for you, we encourage you to do your own research and consult your dermatologist or a medical professional.
-
CAN I WORK OUT AFTER MY TAN?Yes of course; after it has developed and you have showered you can work out. But do bear in mind that sweating and a lot of friction on your skin normally from sports bra’s and training shoes + socks may cause your tan to rub off in those areas! We recommend only low impact exercise if you’re going to workout and try to avoid excessive sweating or tight fitting clothing.
-
DO YOU USE VEGAN / CRUELTY-FREE PRODUCTS?Yes babes we do! Our product lines are approved plant-based tanning solutions.
-
HOW ORGANIC ARE YOUR SOLUTIONS?Our solutions contain natural and organic ingredients.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?Pre purchase online, bank transfer, Laybuy & Afterpay.
-
CAN I TAN BEFORE LASHES & LASER?No is the short answer. Your tan should be the very last thing you do with all your beauty treatments. Facials, lashes, nails could cause your tan to go patchy especially if you haven't rinsed it off prior. You run the risk of products from other service providers stripping your tan completely in areas they are treating. For laser, your skin must be fresh with no products or sunless tan. You must wait at least 48hrs after laser to book your tan.

WHAT DO I WEAR AFTER A TAN?We recommend dark loose clothing!!! Ideally no underwear afterwards. We even have some clients show up in their dressing gowns, which is 100% ok, as long as you're comfortable. Anything that is tight or obstructive could rub or smudge your tan. Anything light in colour will result in the cosmetic bronzer transferring on to clothing. Until the tan has had it's initial rinse, please wear dark clothing as a precaution.
